I've decided to take on the London to Paris bicycle challenge! I wanted to do the gruelling 317 mile one-way trip last year... but I chickened out. I hadn't been on a bike since before becoming pregnant with our second baby in 2007, and didn't think I was fit enough for the journey. I also had to face up to the memories the process of creating a page like this would bring, and even now, I choke up. So here I am a year later; still petrified, but insistent for the sake of the cause. I don't have much time to complete whatever preparations I began since the start of this year, but I am determined to do this. Who knows! I might even be fit enough to complete the second stage from Paris to Geneva!
